Job Title: Village Hall Booking & Marketing Manager (Contracted)
The Booking & Marketing Manager drives local engagement, manages venue logistics, and generates revenue by promoting the hall as a premier venue for private hire, community events, and business meetings. They handle the complete customer journey, from initial inquiry and contract management to digital marketing and community promotion.
- Reporting to: Beckley Village Hall Management Committee
- Hours: Maximum 5 hours per week (Flexible)
- Status: Independent Contractor / Freelance
- Pay Rate: £22.00 per hour
Core Responsibilities
- Booking Administration: Manage the hall’s booking calendar, issue hire agreements, and process invoices or deposits.
- Inquiry Management: Act as the main point of contact, responding to email and phone inquiries from prospective hirers.
- Digital Promotion: Update the hall’s website and post weekly updates on local social media channels to boost venue hire.
- Promo Material: Design simple flyers and digital posters using templates to advertise hall availability and community events.
- Trust Reporting: Provide a brief monthly update to the Trustees on booking revenues, calendar occupancy, and inquiries.
Key Requirements
- Proven freelance experience in administrative support, booking management, or local marketing.
- Basic understanding of invoicing, payment tracking, or working with simple booking software.
- High self-motivation and the ability to work independently within a tight 5-hour weekly limit.
- Strong digital literacy, including experience with social media platforms and email management.
- Access to your own computer, internet connection, and remote working setup.
